Hi Thomas,

Is there a way to make the selected page/tab a different colour? for e.g if I'm in 'Home' page/tab, can we make it a different colour to show the selection?

Thanks

Hi,

it´s difficult to give active pages another background, because backgrounds are used by the links in the menu.
But you easily can style the active page as bold. Is this a option?

Sure! wink

You only have to add a new class in your style.css;

#navbar .current_page_item  {
font-weight: bold;
}

Thats all. smile

Hi,
which version is running at your site?
Please download and install the newest version 1.5.1 of "A little touch of purple" and try it again. Or take a look at this post

The code lines above are working. I´ve checked this at my public Test-Blog. Here you can see the result in action. wink

Please let me know, if it works! Thanks smile

Hi, I'm using the version 1.4. Bit scared to update as it will overwrite all the changes I made..

Is there some extra code I need to add as I'm using the earlier version?

Thanks!

Hi,

Bit scared to update as it will overwrite all the changes I made..

Sure, this can be a problem.
First; Go to the Theme-Editor and open the header.php – here you will find this line;

<script src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/js/menuebar.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Delete this!
You can also delete the "js"-Folder from your Theme-Directory. Connect via FTP and delete this folder.

Hope, it will be work now?!
If not… Where did you made your changes? Save the changed files from your theme folder on your computer – install the update and overwrite the files with your changes.
This is not realy a "nice" way, but there are a lot of "little" changes in version 1.5.1.

Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately it didn't work.

I've actually made lots of small changes in almost all the files…some of which I don't even remember! so, I guess I'm better off leaving it as it is, I really like your theme…..thanks for your help! smile
